Slarecians

The name has been one of dread in the Scarred Lands since before the time of the Titans. Precious little is known about these creatures or their culture, or where they were from. They were not creations of Titan or God, that much is certain. They opened doors into the world of Shadow, which perhaps should never have been opened. Their power was much different than the magic or sorcery we know from the Gods and Titans. Some say that their power, was stronger than the power of magic. Be that as it may, they were formidable, and their power adds to legacy of devastation. It doesn't matter how dangerous or destructive a power may be, there will always be those foolish enough to believe they can control it, and see to wake it from its sleep.

The Slarecians made themselves known around the time that the Titan Gormoth first created the creatures viren. Coming to the surface from the deep darkness of the world, they appeared and destroyed races as they grew to power. Where these creatures came from is still debated. The Assathi may know more about Slarecian history than any other race, having fought them in other realms ^[1]
