Description

This spell was designed to prevent enemies from firing arrows or other small non-magical missiles. Its efficiency is clearly seen on the battlefield, when whole squadrons are protected from ennemies arrows. It is said that Anteas created this spell himself during the first battle against Burok Torn's dwarves. Clerics and rangers of Tanil pretend that they knew the spell before.


Effects:

Any arrow, crossbow bolt or even small stone that passes through the area is utterly destroyed. A magical missile is not destroyed. Make a Willpower save for the item. If the missile succeed, then it strikes normally. If it fails, it looses all magical bonuses. An arrow that carries a spell effect (such as magic weapon) uses spellcaster Willpower save instead of its own.

The spell cannot affect missiles greater than a cubic foot, like catapult bolts or javelines.

The air in the area glitters gently, which can be detected with a Spot check (DC 10 + your primary spellcasting ability modifier).
