Bardic Knowledge of the Scarred Lands
Most information and pages that have been noted in the areas and categories described as "Bardic Knowledge" are created by our writers and readers. These may be magic items, lore surrounding a particular area, adventure hooks or something else that was created for some other reason ... such as Glenn Hefley was working on a novel or game, did some creative research and dropped it in here for others to use, or a thread discussion in the Forum area developed a creative adventure artifact.

[edit] Bardic Knowledge Table
The primary difference between a Bardic Knowledge entry and a normal information page is the Knowledge Role table which should be included. For example on the Azurite ( a gem page) this table is listed, under the heading Uses on Scarn
| Suggested DC | Description |
| 10 -Common | Copper is found where Azurite is found |
| 20-Uncommon | Dwarves use Azurite when dyeing cleric robes |
| 30-Obscure | The Wizard Baris, master of the planes had a staff that was tipped with Azurite, which allowed him to move back and forth through other planes of existence. |
| 40-Very Obscure | Torin Hairer, High Cleric of Madriel used Azurite with diamonds to recover souls broken by the Soul Shatter Spell. |
Each of the tables for any Bardic Knowledge Page should go to at least the Very Obscure level, although the progression of role values maybe very different, depending on the topic the page is talking about. Azurite is a fairly common topic, so a 40 for a Very Obscure information value is a good game balance. Information on a place like the Mounds of Men however is a different matter, and a value of 60 might be put there on the Very Obscure level, since very little is known about the place, and... what is being said, is probably lies.
[edit] Historic Knowledge
A Bardic Knowledge page should have an Historic Knowledge or Historic Background section as well, where the entry will shed some light into the object, person or idea. These ares might get very involved, such as the Mounds of Men page, which brings in all sorts of Earth information about topic.
This area is generally for the DM, and given as a possible game hook or something to add to their game.
[edit] Rare and Legendary Artifacts
Another area the Bardic Knowledge pages will typically have is the Rare and Legendary Artifacts page, or something of equal meaning/purpose if the Bardic Knowledge page is regarding a Person, Place or Idea.
Again, like the Historic Knowledge area, this area is generally for the DM, and given as a possible game hook or something to add to their game.
[edit] Scarn Lore
There may be Lore tales written and available, or perhaps there is a module, or even a full campaign that has been created which uses this entry or is at the city, or country. Linked references, if any, should also be put on the Bardic Knowledge page regarding the person, place or object, rather than on a regular entry page.
[edit] Final thoughts
You may find that most of the entries in the Library of Lokil wiki are denoted as Bardic Knowledge entries, as the Scarred Lands Source Books are copyrighted publications by Swords and Sorcery. Scarn.com only has the desire to add to those source books, and to keep the game fresh for fans.
