Blood
on the Blood Sea is a murder mystery in the City of Mithril.
Unlike most murder mysteries, this one is more along the lines
of roll-playing than the straight forward murder novel.
Saul Woodcloak is the City Watch Detective assigned to the
case by the Behjurian Vigil Watch Office. What you will get
here are Saul's case reports, the transcriptions of the witness
interviews, and any official correspondence which pertain the
case which Saul receives. Images of any physical evidence that
Saul comes across will be documented as much as possible by
the Case Artist, if that evidence is not something that can
be put in a box and sent back to the Behjurian Vigil Watch office.
If that is the case, then real images will be used, since you
as the detective could simply go look at it again (an example
might be cigarette stubs, or small curtains taken into evidence).
If you are familiar with Mithril City in the Scarred Lands,
then you can probably start right away with nothing else said.
Just use the link to Section One. If you are not, you really
don't have to be to solve the mystery, though you will want
to keep in mind the world of fantasy the case is being solved
in, for example, finger prints and blood types aren't tools
Saul has at his disposal to help solve the case. In fact he
has very little except a sharp mind and a hunter's eye for details.
If you would like more background, then I have a few pages
to get you accustomed to the world of the Scarred Lands and
the City of Mithril. As I said, you won't really need this information
to solve the mystery, but it will certainly add to your enjoyment
of the game.
The mystery is broken up into sections. There will probably
be 10 sections in the complete game, and will be posted as they
are completed. I expect that sections will be posted at a rate
of about 1 per week. At the bottom of each pages in a section
will be links to the other pages of that section, and the menu
on the side of the page will let you navigate to the other sections,
allowing you to cross reference and review the evidence that
Saul has gathered.
